The backpack.
I'd call it the most important of all school supplies. It's the every day bag to contain all things school-related! The front-runner for Sophie is pink polka dots, obviously, and it's Gap & 30% off right now, so that makes it my front-runner too. ;) Generally speaking, the backpack has come a long way. I spent half my years with Jansports that basically matched the rest of the class... I will give a shoutout to the Esprit outlet and my sister for equipping me with cute backpacks the other half of my school years. Pretty sure I was a trendsetter in 3rd grade when I went with a peach-colored messenger bag before anyone had messenger bags... sooo... thanks mom & sis!
