Apple picking... Who knew it was such an amazing experience? Our closest apple orchard is Apple Hill, located near Placerville. There are tons of growers and orchards with a few miles! My personal favorite is called Kids Inc. They have a scenic trail for a rustic stroll, there are small animals to visit, and the best part: "Walkin' Pies," mini domes of thinly sliced apples that have been wrapped in pie dough and topped with cider sauce. No wonder apples are one of my favorite things about fall! Do yourself a favor and find an apple orchard near you to explore (and hope they have amazing apple desserts too!).
