This is the simplest idea and so pretty. Sophie and I definitely plan to make alphabet rocks this week during Maggie's nap.

I want fish tacos for dinner sometime this week. Every week, actually.

I listened to this this week, and I love so much of Erin's world view... And if you haven't visited Clementine Daily, do.

Found this beautiful site called The Moms Project through Jeanne, and I loved reading about the diverse schedule and styles of other moms in the world.

This looks insanely delicious.

Love this room so much... and I kind of want to have a cup of coffee at this table.

I'm so into these rings. I'm not a big ring girl generally, but I love the mismatched stacked look.

Did you get a chance to read the love version of Delighted Magazine? It's gorgeous.

Lastly, I'm going to be straight with you: I was nominated for a Homie Award with Apartment Therapy, (yayyy!) and I would REALLY would love your vote... it's quick! Ps. The homies are always a great resource for finding new blogs to read. SO many good ones out there.

Hope you're getting some good rest this weekend! The clouds in SF are keeping us inside and cozy and I'm not complaining! It's a welcome change of pace for me. ;)

xo.

We Love Valentines by Kate Brightbill

Inspired by MerMag

We made valentines!

The ages of my children are perfect right now. You know how you go through phases as parents that you say "oh, I won't be bummed when she outgrows ____ ," but right now I'm at a point where I'm saying "Ohhh girls, don't grow up!! Stay little, my babies!"

That being said, we made valentines this year and it was FUN. That's saying something. Last year, it was just messy. This year, we found the simplest and most adorable valentines on MerMag today, and got after it. Sometimes other people just have really, really good ideas, and there's no need to reinvent the wheel.

Here are some others I'm LOVING around the good old web:

Camille Styles | Cakies | A Subtle Revelry

CakiesThe Alison Show | Hostess with the Mostess

Maison Cupcakes | How About Orange | Martha Stewart

Sooo have fun!!! Enjoy! And if you want to go back in time and see what I created last year for Valentine's day, HERE are a few ideas I gave The Honest Company blog. xo.

Simple tips for photographing your child. LOVE this.

Delicious.

The PERFECT cake for a kiddo's birthday party. Or mine. I love the cheerful simplicity.

If you are pregnant, listen up! I have my favorite ever picks for new babies on a Babyli.st registry! Very excited about it, so please take a look {ps. babyli.st is a spot where you can register for literally anything on the whole wide internet}.

More for the new parents out there: making your own baby food... the simple steps with pretty pictures.

Kitchen time hasn't felt quite so terrible lately... I've even had moments where I've enjoyed cooking this month! I'm pretty sure my girls would love if I made these for them...

Pretty earrings, and pretty shirt {and 40% off sale}.

For the creatives out there, a great video to inspire.

I'm so into this accordion thank you card. Seriously perfect.

Because top knots were never my thing, I'm happy with these pretty alternatives.

Uses for household products to save money and avoid toxins. Great list!

Seriously- $5000 of baby gear {including a year of diapers!} seems like a worthwhile giveaway to enter!! Enter with BabyLi.st HERE. Ps. Every BIT of it is stylish and totally something I'd want on my registry the first time around!

A printable 2014 calendar... love!

Fudgy chocolate cake. Because we all need cake in January to get us through the cleanses. ;)

I'm not sure I'll actually do this DIY, but I can tell you that I love what they have going here... and if I had an extra hour in the day, I would give it a go.

This house tour is so my style. Such perfectly crisp white walls with just the right amount of color.

California rattle? Best baby gift everrrr.

A little behind on this, but 52 weeks of drawing. I love this idea. Sketching is one my favorite ways to relax.

Five detox smoothies... maybe it's just us, but I'm feeling this will come in handy this month. The holidays and their sugary goodness have me craving some good greens and vitamins.

A little 15-year old providing some serious inspiration.

So well-written: Busy isn't respectable anymore {ps. I'm totally taking the month challenge}.

Got one of these for Christmas in a stripe version, and have been  living in it. It's kind of the perfect January chill look. I've been wearing it with these in dusty brown, which are ridiculously comfortable and perfect for motherhood.

Thirteen great resolutions... with gorgeous photography to accompany each.

That's it. Just five this week. Back to the regularly scheduled program next week... I love routine, so I'm looking forward to the every-day posting again! Happy weekend to all.

xo,

Kate

Great party ideas to save for 2014 {or use on New Year's Eve!}... partial to the blow box party lights! So fun!

How you speak = Where you were raised... this was spot-on for me. I speak like I'm bay area/SF born & raised, without question. You?

In case you have spare time on your hands before the New Year, here are some great things to do.

My new favorite bomber jacket {I can seriously wear it with everything!} is now half off... take it from me, it's worth the purchase!!

Cutest shoes ever, maybe? Maggie has them in grey and wants to wear them 100% of the time.

Pretty NYE nails! {I've been chillin' with my my good old Pinterest account more than normal this week...}

Amazing puzzle!

YUM! How amazingly delicious does this look?

Apparently these are the best sugar cookies ever... I LOVE sugar cookies, my friends, so it's very likely we'll be trying this at home. ;)

Cute little printable activity book

Happy last-weekend-of-2013!

xoxo,

Kate
