Ooh, these gorgeous lollipops take less than 10 minutes to make!

The old bay bridge is officially closed for business, and the new one is coming... interesting facts about our sparkly new bridge.

Also... Real World in SF? {Also, the good news: last RW ever!!}

Delicious-looking recipe. I'm not sure I have the drive to make them, but they look seriously amazing.

Yes, very quotable

I'm always looking for ways to make healthy and simple meals, and these cookbooks are gorgeous!

I'm REALLY loving this look these days, so now I'm eyeing these and hoping they go on sale... {actually everything from there for for fall}

The Joe Fresh for JCP line was so crazy cute. Most of the good stuff is sold out, but I'm loving this dress and it's only $10 now!

This beautiful book by a beautiful blogger looks so inspiring.

A way to help end hunger... also a good reminder to be thankful.

Shameless plug to go take a look at my post on the Honest blog this week... ;)

I found this article incredibly intriguing. It kind of makes me wish for a TV kitchen makeover... BUT we rent and I really, really love subway tile...

Lighthearted tips for happy marriages. I liked this. :)

This salad looks like perfection... this said by someone who doesn't even love salad as a general rule. I also LOVE the words to accompany the recipe. I totally relate.. and it's rare that a beautiful food blog is accompanied by beautiful words. ;)

This just makes me smile.

I made this bread pudding  the other day and have been wanting more since. SIMPLEST recipe ever. (Also the best way to not waste leftover bread).

With all the babies being born around here (none mine!), I'm always looking out for great gifts, and I kind of love this right now.

These are seriously the cutest prints. I'd love the whole set for the girls' room.

I've been craving a trip to NYC, and this picture didn't help things! Why do I love cities SO much? (ps. follow me on pinterest, if you want ;)

Lastly, I LOVE this. Such a good read.

Happy Friday to you!

Prettiest handmade dominos everrrrr.

A look at parenting in Japan... my favorite read of the week.

My favorite pin of the week... ah, I just want to sit right there.

Though fall is my favorite, I'm not quite ready to dismiss summer, and this is so cheerful... and on sale!

This week, I actually MADE something delicious and want to share it, rather than wishing I would... banana bread! And no, this recipe doesn't take three hours... more like 20 minutes to prep and 1 hour to bake or so. Sophie and I did it together and it tasted SO GOOD. Brian has already put in a request for me to make it again.

Cutest card for saying hello using the good ol' USPS.

If you like me and my little blog, stylesmaller is a finalist over at Red Tricycle awesome awards, and, well... I'd love your vote! :)

So this is a post for APRIL, but it's stuck with me so much that I think it's worth sharing this week: great room-styling essentials that don't (all) break the bank.

Sophie & I made art together ages ago, then painted over it again a couple months later, and I'm feeling like it's time to refresh the canvas again. I'm loving this inspiring collaborative art color pallet.

Last thing! If you live near SF, be sure to visit the Renegade Craft Fair!! It's at Fort Mason. I've been the last few years, and this is the first year Brian and I both came home and said we could have bought a LOT more than we did. So much good stuff!!!

These look amazing and- dare I say- simple enough to try?

My favorite essay of the... year, maybe? Such truth.

Great back to school deals, for those of you thinking about that sort of thing (I still have one more beautiful year with my kiddos all to myself!)

This skirt is kind of perfect for little girls in the fall. I mean, it'd go with everything, and I would feel totally fine pairing it with patterned high socks that Sophie loves so much.

A little post I wrote for Honest this week.

Eyeing this for our Sophie girl. Anyone have it? Love it? Curious.

So badly wanting to eat this.

So idyllic

The best printable of the week, in my opinion. ;)

My favorite tutorial/diy. So beautiful.

A Few of My Favorite Things by Kate Brightbill

So many favorite things online this week. Here's what I'm wanting...

To cook.

To have someone make FOR me. (or babysit while I make it) ;)

To DIY.

To buy (for the little girls!) to go with this  (fall is always a little bit on my mind).

To buy (for me! they finally went on sale!).

To gift

To baby gift

To toddler gift

To decorate

To play

To wear

To celebrate.

To go

To do on the weekend.

To remember

Enjoy your weekend!

Weekend Links by Kate Brightbill

summercover_blog.jpg

First priority is highlighting your reading material for the weekend... all gorgeous.

The 4th gets me in the mood to grill.. or rather- to get my husband to grill for us... steak with corn using this recipe... mmm.

If you think apps are acceptable for your kids, we love this one. Mini memory, puzzles, basic letters and colors... M and I use it together and she's learning fun new skills!

I linked to info about coconut oil a few weeks ago, and it's now my favorite eye-makeup remover/moisturizer for dry skin/everything they say it is... If you haven't purchased some already, get on it. ;)

I'm REALLY into the extra 40 sale at J.Crew... especially this dress... and this tank... and everything else.. (being a mother to little girls is sooo tempting!!)

Using these sounds like the best little idea. I mean, FREE... gets us every time right? ($1 ice cream given for free one day of the year creates lines two hours long, so clearly FREE means something!) ;)

I can't justify this kind of purchase, but how cute would these little chairs be in a dollhouse? I love dollhouses and furniture for them so much.

So there you have it. Short & sweet links for the weekend! Check them out!

xoxo,

Kate
