Link Love

Loving & Linking by Kate Brightbill

I know this is super late, but I wasn't going to let another week go without some links. It was another great December weekend, jam-packed and full of good memories, so I spent my spare time crashing on the couch rather than linking. Good choice, I'd say, because we're all still getting links... and they're good ones. ;)

Sweet cranberries that are soooo pretty... also, getting bored of my own soup recipes so I'll definitely try this soon.

Do I really need to know that a dish with this much sugary deliciousness can be prepared neatly in the comfort and warmth of my own home? Nope, but I want to make it anyway. ;)

Love this wrapping idea.

This blog that makes it look awesome to live in the snow.

Beautifully written and spot-on.

Similarly raw and honest and refreshing post.

Haha, the Facebook "don'ts".

Oooh, found an online source for the sparkly candles from Sophie's birthday I found in a tiny city shop, so now we can all put them on every birthday cake...

Cutest & coziest looking slippers are on sale for $35 now! Gotta love the December sales.

Favorite pin this week. So charming. {I'm into the braided crowns}.

Happy Monday! Stay warm out there.

xo.

This simple meal is gorgeous... Makes me want to host an outdoor brunch asap. Maybe a cozy version since SF temps are lingering in the 40's...

The holiday issue of Rue Magazine! My cousin Erin styled a shoot at my home, and made our dining room and mantle look way more gorgeous than normal. Love that Rue Dream team. See the pictures on pages 126-139

Loving these adorable hats...

...also these earrings. (I'm usually only into oversized, but I can make exceptions for extra-pretty ones).

Mr. Printables is at it again, bringing more adorable into the world, one printout at a time.

Post-it-notes into Christmas ornaments? Brilliant.

Remember how much I love Minted? Go enter a giveaway for some Christmas cards for yourself! Seriously. Do it.

My favorite pajamas are 30% off.

Heading east in a couple weeks and this picture gets me even more excited. We're having a quick NYC stop while we're there. :)

Oooh, I love these salt dough ornaments! Perfect for filling the blank spaces in a big tree. {I love having my trees packed FULL of ornaments and lights}

Speaking of trees, this lumberjack wrapping paper is really "getting me" this year. I recently bought a lumberjack shirt that I want to eat sleep and live in, so this paper would fit quite nicely into my life right now.

Clearly I'm in Christmas / shopping / decorating mode right now. I haven't read a great article or post in days because I've been avoiding things that take time because... well, this season is BUSY. If I do, I'll be sure to share it with you next week. ;)

xoxo, and HAPPY WEEKEND.

Love,

Kate

Yum.

We love our tree to be a mix of fun and plenty of color, so I'm planning to use leftover felt {from THIS diy} and make some of these pretty ornaments.

Books to inspire grateful hearts.

Which side of the brain do you use most? (I'm 59% right, 41% left)

Ohhh my gosh, Brian and I were LOVING these pictures.

Really into garland right now. Particularly this

I don't know about the quality of this camera, but I love the look!

So cute and sparkly!

I've been working sprucing up my home a bit more lately, and I love these tips.

Scones are my favorite.

Those leaves!

This almost makes me want to go camping. Almost.

{But actually, maybe I'll just stay in my warm home by the fireplace instead... last time I went camping, a bear quite literally almost ran me over in my first 15 minutes in yosemite... true story, unfortunately, but I lived to tell, so maybe it's fortunate?}

Also, I won this at The Land of Nod party last night and wow, the quality is unreal. I want to get more!

HERE is the big question of the week: have you seen the new Delighted Magazine?? My sister did an amazing job! I'm partial to the kiddo style pages 38-50 {hello, Sophie & Maggie, and my perfect little niece Camille!}

Happy Weekend!

xo.

Vegan whip cream with carrot juice! I think it sounds amazing. (I acquired a taste for carrot juice early in life- thanks mom!).

Those bloggers with all their good holiday decorating tips...

Maybe you've seen this before, yes, but have you seen it on People? (eeeee!)

The loveliest wallpaper, ahhhh.  One day I will not rent and I will use wallpaper {"my house" in pink!! LOVE}.

This pin. (wish it was accompanied by a tutorial!)

Pretty recap of Blogshop SF. I'm particularly drawn to those leaf headbands by Modern Sequins and macarons by The Sugar Studio. (!!!)

Blogger turned home product designer. Can't wait to see more!

Big fan of the oversized scarf look.

Got these shoes for date nights and holiday parties, and wore them last night... SO comfortable! Actually- impressively comfy considering their height. :)

Winter hats are ADORABLE on kids. Loving this one, and this. Colors + patterns!

Definitely want to do the portrait a week in 2014. The series is my favorite and such a beautiful way to see how kids grow.

Bet you didn't think I'd get my links up this weekend! I did it! Excited to start another week tomorrow! See you soon.

xo.

I'm wanting some pink cocktail napkins and pretty paper coasters for the holidays after seeing this picture. Girly-holiday-chic, I'll call it.

 {ps. Notice I skipped almost all posts pertaining to Halloween and went straight for the holidays? I'm at a creative loss and haven't yet decided on any costumes for my children. T minus five days!}

About kids + explaining loss.. with an ever so authentic tone and humor.

Fall is for hats! Currently wish-listing this one and this one.

I always have trouble figuring out what to eat when Brian is out in the evenings, and next time I'm definitely trying this. I may try it before then too.

Great thoughts on marriage- it's not easy for anyone, but there are ways to strive for healthy relationships {so many sweet date ideas on their blog as well!}.

The perfect winter jacket for a little girl {currently 30% off!}.

The best post of the week- Danielle on "things that I don't like that everyone else seems to like." {I'm SO not with her on the cookie butter, as we all know. For me? Wine. I know, what's wrong with me? the best wineries an hour drive and I don't prefer any of them}.

Seriously? A year of Honest Bundles and $1500 to Land of Nod. I entered. So should you. ;)

Someone else did all the research to try different DIY play dough, and here is the winning recipe. I will try this.

I won't be trying it this weekend though. This weekend is for sunshine and a mini vacation. YES. Signing off. Happy Weekend to all and to all a good night.

xoxo

Adorable. So, so adorable.

Thoughts on Gwyneth's celebrity and privacy. I think she makes some great points.

Better ponytails here (I need a little upgrade on my ponytail front, so I'm totally a fan of this).

Oooh, the best leggings went on sale.  I particularly love the green.

Dresses for everyday

Yummmmm.... baked, not fried!

Are we already talking 2014? I'm up for it if it involves calendars this cute (and this free!).

OH, are you using Lil Stylers? TechCrunch highlighted it this week (my kiddos are on there! Proud mama here...)

Why is it that food in mini forms are so appealing to me? Anyone else want to make all these things in individual dishes because it's just that much cuter?

Maybe you've seen this map of popular names already, but Brian and I LOVED it. Those little Sophias started popping up everywhere after we named Sophie...

I hope you all have had as good a weekend as we have. I was basically spoiled by Brian all weekend as if it was still my birthday. I also got to take advantage of all the freebies for having a birthday this month (sugary Starbucks drink? YES, I will) I love Octobers so much.

More manana. xo.
